133b High street and 50 Dukes Head Street pic ,  pic GG wine bar , Interior The building started out life as Brett's and Sons and he sold house furnishings, but by the 1950's the building was taken over by Percy Wigg. He opened this business soon after the Second World War in Brett's and Sons old building on the corner of the High Street and Dukes Head Street. / MarkG Bistro Wine Bar uses local, rustic, seasonal and sustainable British ingredients, with menus created on a daily basis offering the freshest market dishes.  / 7 December, 2024
31 High Street 31old , detail 31 , 31 As far back as 1865 No31 has been a Chemist, in this year it belonged to Joseph Hunt Snell, in 1900 Edmund Dodge traded as a Chemist and Druggist until about the 1960's when a Mr H Hemmell was listed as taking over. In the1990’s it had become the Attic antique shop and now is a private house. In the 2nd picture you can see clearly No31. / 5 December, 2024
30 High Street Pic , Pic 30 High Street In 1900 it was the home of Joseph Edward Cook who was the Borough's accountant and clerk to the Oulton Broad School Board, by 1932 it had become a Veterinary Surgery run by John Magee. In the 1967 Kelly's Directory all it says for No30 is that a Mr Fredrick R Dawson was living there. / A private residence  / 5 December, 2024

James Butcher a boat owner who lived there until 1883 succeeded him. Between 1883 and 1892 it was merged with 30 High Street and was run as a ladies school run by Miss Emma Elizabeth Smith as headmistress. / 5 December, 2024
